Development

Development started in January of 2019 using Game Maker Studio. It began as a settings framework for pretty much any game, but soon became a tactical top down shooter. A semi-final release has been made in mid-2021, and development since has remained on pause.

About

Break into your favorite bank, jewelry store, or even your neighbor's house! Locate the safe with all their money and bust that sucker open! Run off with the cash before the SWAT team captures you!

You can download the beta version [2.3.822]. Be aware that some features are not fully complete, and errors may still occur.

Multiplayer

Multiplayer is no easy task, especially in Game Maker Studio. However, after some research and dedication, global multiplayer is now possible in Breaking and Entering. After finalizing multiplayer, I decided to help others and create a YouTube series for multiplayer development in Game Maker Studio.

Setting up a server for Breaking and Entering is very easy, and only requires downloading the Breaking and Entering Server for 2.x versions. Follow the instructions on this page to continue.
